This room prepares the children for the move to the pre-school room. Children start name recognition, pencil control, letter and number work and matching games.

In this room the emphasis is on learning through play following the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.

There is always plenty of time for painting, collage and messy play, junk modelling and baking (& eating the end results!) is always popular, as is dressing up and role play.

The outside play area provides space for climbing, running, riding trikes and ball games. The children also go for walks in the local lanes and the field behind the nursery. A large variety of toys/equipment are available outside providing continuity of learning externally.
